Obama to ask for another debt limit hike

The White House plans to ask Congress by the end of the week for an increase in the government's debt ceiling to allow the United States to pay its bills on time, according to a senior Treasury Department official on Tuesday.

The approval is expected to go through without a challenge, given that Congress is in recess until later in January and the request is in line with an agreement to keep the U.S. government funded into 2013.
The debt is projected to fall within $100 billion of the current cap by December 30, when the United States has $82 billion in interest on its debt and payments such as Social Security coming due. President Barack Obama is expected to ask for authority to increase the borrowing limit by $1.2 trillion, part of the spending authority that was negotiated between Congress and the White House this summer.

This administration  is totally out of control and headed for disaster.. Somebody better hit the breaks and hit them  hard and fast and change course before it is too late, if it’s not already too late

Deadline for protesters arrives, but protesters remain at Occupy LA

LOS ANGELES — Wall Street protesters in Los Angeles defied the mayor's early Monday deadline to vacate their encampment near City Hall, with about 1,000 flooding into the area as hundreds of tents remained standing as they have for nearly two months. A celebratory atmosphere filled the night with protesters milling about in seeming good spirits. A group on bicycles circled the block, one of them in a cow suit. Organizers led chants with a bull horn. "The best way to keep a non-violent movement non-violent is to throw a party, and keep it festive and atmospheric."

There are those who say the police should not use force. There are those who say it's OK for anarchists to take over public or private property because they want to do it. I say get them the hell out, they have no business breaking the law.  If you or I did this we'd be in jail by now.

The Democrats in the Senate

Actually, the problem is the Democrats in the Senate, who refuse to pass reasonable bills even though they know Obama will veto them.
They are probably afraid that Obama will withhold some of the excessive money he has raised, thus hampering their efforts to get themselves re-elected. (And speaking of all of Obama's campaign money, am I the only one who thinks most of it is coming from Soros-controlled companies?)
One hopes that sooner or later the Senate Democrats will realize that their re-election is in worse jeopardy when they DON'T pass reasonable bills.
